1. Electrical Cabinets and Electrical Equipment

Firetec® CT systems are used extensively to protect against fire in open and closed electrical cabinets, including control units, switch boxes, transformers and computing and communications equipment.

5. Earthmoving Vehicles & Contractor's Plant Fire Protection

Firetec® CT equipment is used as automatic fire detection and suppression equipment extensively in many countries, in all classes of earth moving equipment. This extends from small items of plant up to 150 tonne dump trucks.

6. Mobility and Public Service Vehicles Fire Protection

Firetec® CT equipment is approved for use as automatic fire protection in Mobility Scheme vehicles in the UK. Vehicles include cars, minibuses (mini vans), conversions for disabled persons, and buses.

1. Chemical powders can cause severe breathing difficulties and should not be used within the passenger compartment of vehicles occupied by disabled persons.

3. The products of combustion of some modern gases are themselves poisonous.

7. Mining, Tunnel and Quarry Vehicles Fire Protection

Firetec® CT equipment is used as standard fire risk protection in most deep mines in the British Isles and is approved by the UK Mines Rescue Service. Firetec® has also been specified for tunneling projects from the Dublin Port Tunnel to the Auckland Tunnel in New Zealand

Fire Monitoring Systems Ltd. was founded in the 1960’s, by forestry equipment engineers. Firetec® CT and CTX equipment is now variously specified as original or retro-fit equipment by machinery manufacturers and their insurers in several countries.

9. Marine Craft Fire Protection
